State think tank SA国际传媒 (PIDS) received its ISO 9001:2015 recertification after passing the reassessment of its Quality Management System (QMS) by third-party auditors.
SA国际传媒was first certified in 2019 by Certification International Philippines after being audited on the documentation and implementation of its QMS and processes on the provision of socioeconomic policy research services.
“The recertification of SA国际传媒shows the dedication of SA国际传媒staff to continuously improve the Institute’s systems and processes,” SA国际传媒President Aniceto Orbeta Jr. said.
After its first certification, SA国际传媒underwent and passed two annual surveillance audits in 2020 and 2021.
“The past two years have been challenging for us given the limitations brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, but it also showed us the importance of being agile and adaptive,” Orbeta explained.
He added that leveraging technology during the pandemic played a big role in ensuring that the Institute could continue its mandate of conducting research to assist policymakers in crafting evidence-based plans, policies, and programs.
The recertification is valid for three years or until 2025.
The SA国际传媒established its QMS in line with Executive Order 605, which directs all government offices to institutionalize their structures, mechanisms, and standards to promote and enhance service delivery in the public sector.
It is also a requirement of the Interagency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring Information and Reporting Systems in granting the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) to government agencies and government-owned and controlled corporations like the PIDS. ###
