SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½opens research and information sharing channel with Japanese think tank

State think tank SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ (PIDS) welcomed Ms. Harue Shimato, senior economist at the Mitsui Global Strategic Studies Institute, based in Tokyo, on February 26, 2015. Accompanied by Mr. Kohtaro Kuronaga, Ms. Shimato discussed with SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½President Gilberto Llanto the interest of Mitsui and Co. (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd. to develop a close research and information partnership with the Institute. Both institutions share knowledge development interests in manufacturing, trade and industrial policies, impact of regional economic integration, and the region’s sensitive geopolitics. Dr. Llanto was joined by SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½Research Information Staff Director Sheila Siar and SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½Senior Research Fellows Erlinda Medalla, Celia Reyes, and Roehlano Briones.
